West London Greenpeace on Chiswick High Road

On Saturday 17th August we set up our table at a busy point of the Chiswick High Road. The table was filled with information about the current ‘Save that Arctic’ campaign and we spent a few hours engaging the citizens of West London in conversion about the Arctic, many of whom seemed excited about the arrival of the giant Polar Bear in London on the 15th September.

Altogether we managed to add over 70 signatures to the Save the Arctic petition and raise money from generous individuals who voluntarily put cash in our collecting tins. Measuring the amount of awareness raised is difficult, but I’m sure we have made numerous people think twice about the Arctic.

After a successful afternoon we headed for a drink to talk about our next campaign...
