A friend of mine who lives in Twickenham came acrros this poster yesterday and it made me curious. It is asking the Lib Dem MP of Twickenham, Vince Cable, to stand up to George Osborne who is going against all election promises of creating the greenest government ever.
The upcoming Energy Bill which will be published in a few months is likely to slash support for renewable energy and instead invest in dirty gas. If this happens there will be hardly any chance of the UK meeting its obligations under the Climate Change Act. We need to remind the Lib Dems of their election promises and make sure that electricity will be decarbonised by 2030.
