Westbourne Forum International Day
Under the Same Sun
27th March 2010
Theme – Climate Change
Greenpeace will be attending the Westbourne Forum International Day, holding a stall and encouraging local residents and community groups to support our Airplot campaign.
It promises to be an excellent day, with free international food tasting from India, Bangladesh, Refugee Groups, the Caribbean, Albania, Britain, Ireland, Sudan, Eritrea, and Somalia.
There will also be performances and dancing from all over the world, including Cuban Salsa, India, Ireland, England, Africa and Turkey. There will also be Salsa from a gay and lesbian troupe.
MP Karen Buck is due to open proceedings.
It’s a completely free event – so a great opportunity to help out on the Greenpeace stall, especially if you are from the Westbourne area. Or if you have never come to one of our stalls before, an opportunity to come along to a great day of community cohesion and to talk to West London Greenpeace about what we do and how you can get involved.
If you can help on the stall please email olliegray50@yahoo.co.uk or send me a text on 07776 040493.
The event will be between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday 27th March at:
The Stowe Centre
258 Harrow Road
London W2 5ES
There are also subsequent events where it would be good to have a Greenpeace presence if anyone can make it. Your may also find these talks interesting in their own right!
