As you may know, 30 Greenpeace activists were detained by Russian armed coast guards recently, when taking peaceful, non-violent direct action to try and halt drilling in the Arctic.
Those activists are now being charged with piracy and face up to 15 years in jail.
There is a global day of solidarity on Saturday October 5th and we’ll be in York, Parliament Street from 11am (we may at some part of the day move nearer the Minster).
Please join us – you decide how long you can stay – but it’s important that we support our friends and make a stand.
