Steve and I spent two and a half hours in Hull city centre on the Friday and the same in Hessle Square on the Saturday. Although it was a tough job persuading people stop by and have their say in the poll, it was very encouraging to find that the overwhelming majority (90% overall) were saying no in both locations. It was noticable how many people were shocked that so much money is being earmarked for Trident - the scale of the financial commitement is not widely known as yet.
