Chasing Ice screening at York City Screen

The aching beautiful "Chasing Ice" filmed by National Geographic photographer James Balog will be the subject of a one off screening on 3 February 2013 at 14:30 at City Screen, Coney Street,York,YO1 9QL.The film charts him filming astoundingly beautiful icebergs followed by extensive coverage of the melting of major glaciers using time lapse cameras in three continents. The film won the cinematography prize at Sundance 2012 amongst many other awards and isn't one to be missed. There's also film of an absolutely mindblowing event, which I'm not going to spoil!
