Instead of investing in the future the government are turning back to the past, by their Dash for Gas. The uk will fall behind the rest of the world in creating renewable energy employment, simply because George Osborne wants us to quadruple gas power in the uk by 2030. If he gets his way the legally binding carbon emissions cuts the UK must comply with will not be met.

The anti wind comments by government ministers recently, were spoken for two reasons, number one, to show George Osborne that they stand side by side and in total blind agreement with his obsession for a dash for gas and number two to switch the emphasis from their behind the scenes dealings with the weak and wimpy Liberal Democrats. These ''quad'' meetings with Cameron, Osborne, Clegg and Alexander are plotting to bind energy consumers to years of high fuel prices and dependence on dirty and high carbon creating gas and all the while they will be handing this polluting industry a blank check to keep burning and keep the planet and the climate temperature rising.
