We picked a lovely sunny day to kick off our Energy Bill Campaign on Fargate, Barkers Pool and Pinstone Street in Sheffield. Members of the public wrote messages to Nick Clegg on the back of our special Greenpeace postcards to tell him to stand up to George Osborne & oppose his push for dirty, expensive gas. As the Coalition Government is preparing to bring a new Energy Bill to Parliament in November no doubt Nick Clegg, & Ed Davey the Lib Dem Secretary of State will be discussing this next week at the Liberal Democrat Party Conference. We wanted to hand them the 230+ postcards that were signed on Saturday to give them something to talk about but, when we arrived to hand them over no-one was home. So we'll just have to post them to Westminster instead.
