Government Departments Schmooze With Shell.

Shell lobbying Government Departments?

Shells latest attempt to gain favour with the british government has involved inviting representitives from ten Whitehall departments to ''training courses'' to its London headquarters.

This is another blow to the government after it emerged that ministers from the treasury met with Shell 12 times, while the chancellor George Osborne has not met a single green sector representitive, this is yet another sign that the coalition goverment is against all green energy.

This comes at a time when questions have been asked about who influences the governments energy policies? Since George Osborne's father in law, Lord Howels, is a foreign office minister responsible for international energy issues in the lords and president of the british institute of energy economics, whose corporate members include, Shell and BP.
