Action after Words?

'' What most people want in this country, is not actually to leave the EU,but to reform the EU and make sure that the balance of powers between a country like Britain and Europe is better''

These are the words of David Cameron speaking at the Conservative Party conference in Manchester recently. Coming from somebody who has previously said that he wants to have the ''greenest government ever'' and then promptly allows the most polluting industry in the world to begin drilling what could potentially be the biggest oil spill in history, bigger even than another of BP's disasters in The Gulf Of Mexico oil spill, people need to be cautious of David Camerons words.

But if David Cameron is indeed serious and he really wants to ''reform'' the EU, he should begin by indicating his seriousness, get behind the fisheries minister and actively help to reform the Common Fisheries Policy.

There is an old saying, ''actions speak louder than words''. So now is the time for David Cameron to back up his words with bold action and get the corrupt and wasteful Common Fisheries Policy reformed, by being there in person and showing leadership to the countries of the EU.
