2011 Sheffield Green Fair

25th June

St Marys Community Centre

Sheffield.

The 26th Sheffield Green Fair was this year held in warm and sunny weather, with lots of entertainment and something for all Green people and families to enjoy. With well over 70 stalls and six different zones, visitors to the fair strolled under shaded trees to browse the stalls with all kinds of green and environmentally friendly groups all represented.Among those was our Greenpeace table in the main Knave of St Marys.

Greenpeace active volunteers where on hand to sell hand made t-shirts and postcards, as well as receive welcome donations and give out Rainbow Warrior stickers to donators.Information on Rainbow Warrior and our campaigns was available to all enquirers, with lots of people expressing interest.

At the end of a very enjoyable day, we had collected donations and provided some important information about Greenpeace and some of its work and campaigns. Many thanks must go to all Greenpeace active volunteers who gave their time and energy to a successful Sheffield Greenfair for Greenpeace South Yorkshire.
