Reacting to the news that a third of the countries buying the BBC's Frozen Planet series have not bought the final episode detailing the effects of climate change on the poles, Ben Stewart of Greenpeace said:
"It's regrettable that millions of viewers in the US won't be getting the full story when they watch this mesmerising series. It's like pressing the stop button on Titanic just when the iceberg appears. Climate change is the most important part of the polar story, the warming in the Arctic can't be denied, it's changing the environment there in ways that are making experts fearful for the future. The networks which haven't bought the last episode are doing a disservice to their viewers and adding their weight to a campaign against science."
