Hello, I'm Neil, I'm originally from Wales but have been in London for over ten years now. I'm 34, but have managed to squeeze in an unusual number of careers including being an air steward (I'm working hard to get that carbon footprint down now) and a wedding planner. I've now settled on working in a school supporting young people with learning difficulties. They're truly inspiring kids and they give me hope that we really can achieve a green and peaceful future.

I joined Greenpeace 4 years ago, and have been coordinating the Camden network of Greenpeace activists for the last 3. They're a great bunch of people and I've made some good friends through the group. Greenpeace has taken me to some weird and wonderful places, from carrying the lead singer of The Flaming Lips on my shoulders while dressed as an orang-utan backstage at Glastonbury, to being the night watchman on the bridge of the Rainbow Warrior 2 when she visited London. I originally joined Greenpeace after being inspired by the climate and biodiversity campaigns but I've since become just as interested in the peace, nuclear and toxic work.

When I'm not dressed as a polar bear outside my local Shell garage (or something similar), I try in vain to play ukulele and I'm currently addicted to watching anything on TV in Danish or Swedish. I'm quite picky with music, but I love just about anything by Radiohead or bands with a fiddle or a banjo in them. I like trying new real ales and experimenting with veggie cooking.
