Hello! I’m a Wind Energy Research Student in Glasgow, originally from near Oxford, and I’ve been involved in local Greenpeace groups for almost a year now, meeting some brilliant people. I’m 24 and enjoy kayaking and mountaineering, as well as grassroots and community activities. I also love summer festival campaigning!

Since I was small I have been happiest outdoors and close to nature. I got involved with Greenpeace because I am concerned about the threat to these beautiful wild places and to all living things from Climate Change and the advancement of our industrial economy.

I've done quite a bit of work in schools with student teaching placements, clubs and the Oxfam School Speakers scheme, and I've also given presentations to local Low Carbon groups about Climate Change and the transition to Renewable Energy.

This year, I'm hoping to do more talks, workshops and general outreach through Engineers Without Borders and STEM Ambassadors in schools, and continue to engage with Transition Towns groups, Women's Institute groups and Faith groups. (I’ve recently given a talk to a church about a campaigning trip I did in 2011 through Africa). I’d also like to do some outreach to Scout and Guide groups, as I was involved with these organisations when I was younger.

I'm really keen to apply the experience I've gained so far to help forward Greenpeace campaigns. Seeing the Arctic presentation at a Scottish Skillshare in 2012, given by a trained Greenspeaker, has inspired me to get involved with speaking for Greenpeace.
