Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have generously supported Greenpeace with over £3.5 million in funding since 2018.
Thanks to players, we can continue to investigate, document, lobby and take peaceful action to expose environmental abuse and champion solutions to defend our climate, oceans and forests for all life on Earth.
In recent times, with players’ support, we have been able to campaign to safeguard biodiversity and our precious forests, carry out ground-breaking science demonstrating the importance of our oceans, and raise awareness about the Climate Emergency. Player generosity has meant we were able to carry out the biggest ever survey of plastic pollution in UK rivers in 2019; and in 2020 create new educational resources and train volunteers across the country as Greenpeace Speakers, activating young people to take action for the climate and other issues.
Recent Greenpeace funding is awarded through Postcode Earth Trust, for whom People’s Postcode Lottery manages lotteries.
