Skate your way to free Glastonbury tickets: the winners
Posted by tracy on 17 June 2008.
The editor of sidewalk got in touch with us on Saturday to confirm the winners of our competition to win three pairs of Glastonbury tickets.
Just to recap, we asked skaters (or fakers) to submit clips of themselves on a video site in order to enter for three categories: best trick, best line (or group of tricks put together if you aren’t a skater) and judges discretion.
So, the winners are…
Best Trick: "Killah P" James Kilpatrick - 'Cheese on Tape' - kickflip manual kickflip out
Best Line: "Arny1990" Josh Arnott - Ollie stairs, wallride second set
Judges discretion: "rupertantoine" Rupert Antoine, 16 years old, ripper
Excellent work all of ‘em and we look forward to seeing them at the Greenpeace FSC certified timber skate park where they will be able to skate with our team of top UK skaters which includes Greg Nowick, Aaron Sweeny, Chris Oliver, Woody, Nicky Howells, Rob Smith (not the guy from The Cure in case you were wondering), Awad Mohammed and Darryl Dominguez.
As well as the Pro demo’s, if you are coming to the festival there will be open sessions for anyone up for a skate and even Etnies sponsored beginners sessions with equipment supplied so everyone can have a go.
Remember, there are still tickets available from the festival website and what with the weather forecast being far improved on last year (how could it not be as it rained solidly for days) this is your opportunity of a lifetime to get a ticket.
