I completely agree that producing clean energy at a local level is the way forward (have you seen our film What Are We Waiting For?), but not on climate change itself.
It's been a cold winter but that doesn't change the fact that over the long term the planet is warming. As you point out, those lobbying for a resurgence in nuclear power have been using it as reason to build more expensive facilities that won't deliver the emissions cuts we need in time.

Green campaigners back nuclear power
In light of Britain's need to meet its climate change targets, nuclear power generation has received the support of four prominent environmentalists - Lord Smith of Finsbury, the Chairman of the Environment Agency, Mark Lynas, a science writer, Stephen Tindale, ex-Director of Greenpeace, and Green Party activist, Chris Goodall.

What on earth are you doing Greenpeace. Yes the planet has warmed over the last 20 years or so and yes the ice has melted but this winter was one of the coldest for quite a while and has made Al Gore's case fall around his ears. It is a natural cycle for goodness sake. Try filling your greenhouse with CO2 and see if it gets any warmer. CO2 is 385 parts per million in our atmosphere - if it could make our houses warmer we'd have all pumped loads of it into our lofts. The truth is that the science is stupid but the brilliant propoganda promulgated by the New World Order who want us all to pay for their incredibly dangerous and planet threatening nuclear power is duping you all.
For years you guys have fought the establishment and the establishment has now finally beaten you and how. Fancy getting Gore (one of their own secret circle) to pretend to be global campaigner and getting the very guys who have stopped their progress to nuclear power actually wade in on their own side. How sweet is that! And how can you tell this is a NWO try on? - well simple - since when have any governments anywhere led their own anti-government campaigns.
The only answer to the fuel issue is to generate it where it is needed - at each home. Take down the wretched grid and have each home power itself with wind, solar, hydro and other local forms of generation. Result - freedom from bills for the masses and loss of control for the powers that be.
