Brilliant. (And also a pretty comprehensive run through of where we're at with the Heathrow decision.)
It's from raplog.net - who are trying to "bring some hip-hop panache to the world of political blogging". About time, I reckon. The artiste writes:
"I wrote the lyrics after watching Geoff Hoon's statement to the House of Commons announcing that the 3rd runway would be built. It's been pushed through the courts to prevent proper parliamentary debate. There was a lot of chat in the House about there being a precedent for not voting on transport planning issues, but where's this supposedly more representative government that Brown promised? How about a vote?"
Well, it turns out there's going to be a vote on the third runway this Wednesday. At GPHQ we'll be watching to see whether Labour MPs who have said they oppose Heathrow expansion in the past will really walk the walk and deliver a bit of green leadership, and after the slightly overwhelming response we had to our plan to get you to email them with your concerns, we know lots of you will be watching closely too.
