Video: Ben up a chimney - "Politicians talk, leaders act"

From the top of an Italian smokestack, Ben explains why we're telling G8 leaders to act now on the climate. We need strong leadership - what comes out of the G8 paves the wya for the upcoming Copenhange UN climate summit in December, which is the best moment of opportunity for averting dangerous climate change.

Was hoping to contact Ben but I that see that he is a bit tied up at the moment! hopefully he will get time to read this when he comes down.

Hi Ben, noticed you were voted into the CVF500 last year, wanted to chat and couldn’t find your profile. Anyway been talking to Leo Murray (Age of Stupid) since hearing about the film as my research and theory proposes an underlying causality as to why we are stupid and why many of those that represent us (G8 etc) may be more stupid than average! Im guessing you would agree that the practical solutions to virtually all the problems we have created are still within our reach yet they are doggedly and relentlessly delayed, diluted or dismissed by the very people who would (in a sane world) be implementing those solutions as if our lives depended on it….
So the point, bearing in mind your comment in the video on politicians and leaders, check out the paragraph on page two of my web site http://beyond-belief.org.uk/
under ‘Just a thought’ and let me know if it rings any bells? There might be a last chance opportunity here to get beyond symptoms and address fundamental causality.

Cheers

Tony

We are well into the first week of the Climate Control Summit in Copenhagen, and of all of the answers to the issue of Global Warming no politician has put population control on the agenda.

Paul McCartney has recently joined the debate by controversially suggesting we all go "vegetarian" for one day a week to reduce carbon emmissions from livestock production (farming.)

With a Global population of over 6 billion people, when will over-population become an issue to enter the debate on global warming?
