Shell Message Spreads To Hove

So, over the last week or two Greenpeace have been encouraging members of the public to tell Shell to ditch their plans to drill for oil in the Arctic. Early hours of Saturday morning I was walking home from a fun night out in Hove and walked past a closed Shell petrol station. Someone had obviously had some fun overnight as the forecourt had been 'rebranded' by putting up posters, covering up Shell logos and placing 'out of order' cards over the pumps!

I assume that the person/people involved felt so angry about Shell's plans to risk the purity of the Arctic in the pursuit of the sticky black stuff (the burning of which being why the ice is melting in the first place) that they felt they should take some fairly drastic action to convince Shell to change their ways! I even thought to whip out my camera and take a few pictures,

Good on them, I say, we should all stand up for the Arctic. After all, we only get one planet. You can take a stand yourself by signing up to www.savethearctic.org.

Or if you've got good eyesight and would like to 'spot' similar signs at a Shell petrol station near you, then please get in touch with your local Greenpeace coordinator via the Greenpeace Getactive webpages.

If there isn't a Greenpeace group / network near you, but you'd still like to do more to help #SaveTheArctic then please complete our online survey, and we'll email you some more things you can do locally as an individual.

We need your help, so please get involved.
