The presentation was followed by an hour of informed and searching questions from the audience.

Questioners focussed on:

*energy efficiency of legacy school buildings

*ongoing waste reduction targets

*plastic bottle pollution of Avon Gorge

*bus fares

*residents parking zones

*funding of the Bus Rapid Transit scheme

*cycle parking schemes

*Council response to First Great Western train franchise renewal

*carbon accounting (ie, exclusion of motorway commuting and Bristol airport).

Audience members included representatives from Greenpeace groups in Bristol, Friends of the Earth, SERA Bristol and the local Transition Movement.

Thanks to Wilf Mound of Greenpeace Bristol Central for organising the event.
