The Bristol East group were out in force on May 4th in Picton Street. With a great position adjacent to the stage we did a brisk trade in collecting signatures for the Save the Arctic Campaign (http://www.savethearctic.org/en), 168 signatures via sign-up form and approx 50 via iPad.
We brought along our 4th Arctic creature - a walrus, to keep the polar bear, narwhal and snowy owl company. We attracted plenty of attention and the offer of free hugs helped to spread the love for the Arctic - though free walrus hugs were not quite as popular as polar bear hugs!
Thanks to to the Picton Street Mayfest Committee for inviting us and to Ian, Madeleine, Fi, Richard B, Stacy, Richard L, Rose, Sue and Carol for getting in the spirit of things.
