Talk to Plymouth Humanists

Went to Plymouth yesterday afternoon to give a talk to the Plymouth Humanists group in the evening. Had a bit of time to look round the Hoe in the sunshine beforehand. Later I talked about the organisation's 40 years of campaigning, its origins, aims and current campaigns including climate change, nuclear issues, sustainable fisheries.  I had a powerpoiint illustrated by pictures and videos.  They were a very lively group and we had some challenging discussions in particular about Nuclear Power, GM and the Severn Barrage and they were keen to know how they could get involved so I'm hoping they will help with" Be a Fisherman's Friend".  It's good to get a chance to practice your arguments with poeple who know what they are talking about and the Plymouth Humanists were a very well-informed lot!  Altogether an interesting and simulating evening.
