A busy, yet rewarding, weekend was spent at Bristol Harbourside at the Soil Association's Organic Food Festival. It was great to speak to so many people, a good proportion of who were aware of the Fish Fight campaign, so in some respects we were engaging members of the public who were very sympathetic to the cause. There was certainly an appetite to know more from those who were new to the campaign message. Consequently, it was so rewarding that many people were prepared to stop and write their personal message to David Cameron and call for the outmoded Common Fisheries Policy to get reformed. In total a fantastic 126 letters were written and addressed. Although the emphasis was on promoting the CPF campaign we also got support for saving the rainforest through members of the public signing 75 letters addressed to the CEO of Mattel. We also got 149 cards signed urging the EU to keep Tar Sands oil out of Europe. Many thanks to Wilf, for co-ordinating our presence at the event and to Zoe, Sue, Ann, Mark, Barbara, Sandie and Richard for their support throughout the weekend.
