KIT KAT ...give the orangutan a break.

Posted by hibiscus - 9 April 2010 at 8:30pm - Comments

Greenpeace Bristol are taking to the streets to ensure local people know that Nestle use unsustainable palm oil in their chocolate bars.  We have been asking members of the public to pose for a photo with an advert subverting Nestle's kit kat adverts - saying 'Give the Orang-utan a Break'.  Palm oil is a key driver of deforestation which is destroying the apes' habitat.

We are also be distributing leaflets with more information.  So come along to our stalls say hello, show your support, find out more and take a photo.

This Sat we will be in the precinct in westbury on trym.

(see map)

last week we were at the love food festival were we got hundreds of signatures of support and 75 photos..a good couple of days campaining.

do have a look on greenpeaces main websight for all the info.
