Local Update

Lots of activity or Greenpeace this month, hope you have followed us on our campaign actions....

We are anticipating lots of new campaign materials from head office. As you understand, we local groups take action appropriate to campaign advice....so we need to be flexible and in-touch to keep up with new developments.

There is our monthly planning and update meeting on the third Tuesday of each month at O'Neil's pub in Bromley's East Street - the road directly opposite Bromley North station - and there are good bus links into Bromley from all the surrounding areas too.

Not wishing to get political, I must mention the third placing of the Green candidate for London Mayor in the recent election. I mention it only to give encouragement to those of you who have been 'Greenpeace' for many years, yet somehow felt that 'nothing has changed'.

I feel this expression from London for a strong move towards ‘Green thinking’ means that our Greenpeace campaigns and messages are 'getting through'. Thank you all for being part of this solution and encouraging others to change their behaviours and awareness too.

Our next Network meeting is this coming Tuesday 15th May, I offer you a warm welcome, your input is most valued and will affect how successful our new campaigns will be.

best regards,

Roisin
