Asking a climate question in Hampstead

Posted by Jenna Lane - 27 March 2010 at 10:00pm - Comments

Today was our first street campaigning day for 'Ask the climate question', Hampstead was the chosen location. I'd like to thank the kind ladies at the Hampstead Community Centre for providing us with a table undercover today as the weather was not as favourable as promised.

Annie and I took our place indoors with a chair - Thanks guys! We were stationed between the cake stand and the organic cafe. Highly recommended! We invited a good number of interested people to the Hustings on 14th April and got a few good questions from those who didn't fancy appearing on the big screen.

The boys meanwhile did amazingly, filming local people Asking the Climate question. And Hampstead did us proud, an estimated 40 people were recorded in total, proving to be concerned about climate change as well as possessing a certain flair for appearing on camera : ) We got questions in Italian, German and Spanish too!

It was nice to see familiar faces as I work in Hampstead.
