A massive well done to everyone who made Rock the Boat - our fundraiser gig last night - a fantastic success. A huge thank you to the 135 people who came. We surpassed all our expectations and raised an astonishing one thousand pounds to help build the new Rainbow Warrior.
A huge thank you to the bands: Marmaduke Dando, Camila Kill, and Snooty Bobs for performing three brilliant sets, the great comedians from the Forgery Club - The Pros From Dover, Spencer Jones, Steve Oram, and Jonni Music - for providing the laughs, and thanks to DJ Ben for keeping the dancefloor going right until the end. Congratulations to the 3 winners of the raffle, who went home with Cartier cufflinks(!), wine, and £50 of M&S vouchers. The staff at the World's End Pub in Finsbury Park were a big help, and it's a great venue. The Rock the Boat team from Camden Greenpeace did a sterling job, thanks to everyone for your time and energy, helping out in the planning and running the night. Everyone had a great time and Greenpeace are now £1000 closer to the target of getting the much-needed new Rainbow Warrior afloat by October this year.
