Airplot - Planting Apple Trees

Posted by mathcook - 22 November 2009 at 11:57am - Comments

Yesterday (Saturday) Canterbury MP Julian Brazier joined the group to plant apple trees at a site in Canterbury as part of the Airplot campaign. The trees are twinned with trees in Sipson, the village that the government plans to demolish to make way for a third runway for Heathrow and the area where Richard Cox first grew the Cox's Orange Pippin in 1825. More than 20 people turned out to watch and join in.
