It's cold so 'Global Warming' is a hoax, right?-Wrong!

The ice is still melting...

In the early 1990's when climate change first began to resonate with activists and policy makers, those with an inherent dislike of the Green agenda claimed that the worst that could happen would be that 'Britain turns into the south of France (never saying what the south of France would turn into...) and so therefore there was no need to do anything about it. Since then they have persistently put out the myth that because the Earth is getting warmer this temperature rise will be consistent all over the planet, ignoring the finely balanced natural mechanisms that are being affected by the temperature rise. A classic example is the Gulf Stream. Britain is on the same latitude as Moscow but is significantly warmer because a warm body of water flows up from the Gulf of Mexico forcing cold Atlantic water underneath it. As sea temperatures rise the flow of the Gulf Stream is going to be significantly disrupted forcing it away from the U.K. and Western Europe with telling results. But in just the past few months look at the way the temperatures have fluctuated. October was one of the warmest on record followed by a cold November followed by the one of the warmest Decembers ever, January was exceptionally warm then it became exceptionally cold and temperatures are set to rise again during the next few days. Now if that isn't the climate changing-What is??
