So where were the windy nimbies?

Safe Energy for the Future...

A small minority of people are often to be found writing letters to newspapers here in Wales denouncing windfarms as being bad for the Environment. Known as windy nimbies they always claim wind turbines do damage , although rarely if ever do they produce any evidence for any of this alledged damage. The recent campaign against fracking in South Wales was a perfect opportunity for them to come forward and denounce this form of fossil fuel pollution and yet their send buttons gathered dust as the campaign went on, showing all too clearly that their supposed concern for the environment only ever manifests itself when it involves windfarms. Any impact a turbine makes on the enviroment is minimal compared to fracking. And next time you hear someone talking about the impact of turbines ask them if they would prefer fracking instead?
