Talk and Slideshow by Jess Worth of UK Tar Sands Network

Posted by Richard Griffiths - 1 April 2012 at 2:57pm - Comments

On Sat. the 31st Jess Worth gave an excellent and exciting presentation on Tar Sands in Alberta Canada. Present were members of Greenpeace, F.O.E. as well as Sutton In Transition and CND.

Twelve people sat enthralled as Jess showed slides covering the worst excesses of the world's largest industrial development. Vast tailing ponds of tar-polluted water are killing of birds and animals in the area of the boreal forest.

We decided to support her endeavours to resist the UK's policy of supporting Canada in producing this filthy black pollutant that is exacerbating climate change on our planet.
