Airplot visit to MP

Oliver Letwin is already a  beneficial owner, so here are some of us congratulating him in this very dodgy photo. We were assured (and as Chairman of the Policy Review, Oliver Letwin is the man behind the manifesto) that the Tory manifesto will include statements on no  third runway for Heathrow or extra runways for Gatwick. However 'aviation is still expected to expand'.

One of the most interesting aspects of our discussion was that Letwin presented a picture of almost complete consensus between the major parties on climate change issues. Long term work in all-party committees to meet the now legally binding 80% cuts by 2050 is the order of the day. The down side is that, because there are no party political differences to exploit, he felt that environmental issues would receive very little airing during the election campaign.
