Kumi Naidoo

I've Just received this notification from Friends of the Earth Scotland:

Head of Greenpeace International to attend El Salvador event

Kumi Naidoo, Head of Greenpeace international, is coming to Edinburgh for this event next week. He will speak about the international climate talks conference (COP17) in Durban in December 2011. Don't miss your chance for an evening with international environmental campaigners ahead of an important global climate event.

Viva El Salvador!
Tuesday 18 October 6.30pm in Edinburgh

Other special guests are Dr Ricardo Navarro, FoE Salvador,
and David Hallowes, author of new book ToxicFutures

This is an exciting opportunity to hear from one of Latin America's top climate change experts. Dr Ricardo Navarro, Director of Friends of the Earth El Salvador, will talk about the impacts of climate change in El Salvador.

This event will mark the European launch of "Toxic Futures", a brand new book by David Hallowes, who will speak on the evening. The book is about how the South African government is failing the global poor, with increased poverty levels, corporate profit growth, and increased impact of climate change as the result.

You will be able to buy a copy of Toxic Futures at the event.

This event is being organised in partnership with SCIAF.
