Bristol Greenpeace Campaigning – BP and Tar Sands

Posted by caroldurrant - 27 July 2010 at 10:53pm - Comments

Greenpeace Bristol East visited our local BP petrol station in Willsbridge on Monday 19th July and gently raised awareness about tar sands with staff, customers and passers-by.

The BP station manager was well used to environmentalists, having had various groups on his doorstep over the last 3 weeks campaigning about the Gulf of Mexico, deep sea drilling and tar sands developments.

Meanwhile, in London today Greenpeace has been getting a bit tougher with BP by shutting down BP stations “to give them a chance to ditch the spin and actually move beyond petroleum”.
