How to get more involved with Greenpeace campaigns

Get active with Greenpeace

Greenpeace uses every tool and tactic we can think of, online and offline, to defend the natural world and promote peace. We rely on donations from individuals to fund this work, and the time and energy of activists, supporters and volunteers to turn those ideas into successful campaigns that achieve positive change. We need your help, so please get involved.

The following options, are in response to an email we have sent to Greenpeace supporters who subscribe to the email newsletter Getactive.

  1. If you are already active with a local Greenpeace group / network, then please spend 10 minutes answering this short survey.
  2. If you’re not active local, but would like to get more involved, online or offline, either as an individual, or as part of a local Greenpeace group / network, then please spend 10 minutes answering this short survey about how you'd like to help.
  3. If you’re not active locally, but would like to continue to read about what’s going on, then don’t worry, we’ll continue to email you the Getactive newsletter.
  4. If you don’t want to get the Getactive newsletter anymore, then you can unsubscribe by emailing our information team.
  5. If you only want Valentines, not email newsletters, then you can unsubscribe by emailing our information team, and then this looks like good advice; http://www.wikihow.com/Get-a-Valentine

Finally if you’d like to know more about how to get involved in Greenpeace’s campaigns, then please visit our Getactive FAQ, and read on.

The majority of active Greenpeace supporters organise themselves into local groups / networks, who meet regularly and organise one (or more) local events each month. Each local group / network also has an online ‘webgroup’ where they coordinate and publicise what’s happening locally.

You can find your local webgroup, and your local group / network by entering your postcode into the main Greenpeace/active page.

Each month we email the newsletter Getactive to everyone who belongs to a webgroup, and this includes an update of the current campaign ask, upcoming training opportunities, invitations to get involved in local and national events and much more.

We are currently reviewing the Getactive newsletter, and also exploring ways for people to get more involved in Greenpeace campaigns, online and offline, both as individuals and also as part of a local network. We would really like to know what you think.

Please complete the 2012 active supporter survey.
