November Meeting

Our November meeting focussed on two events, the ever popular Saltaire Peace Fair organised by CND, and our stall at the Knaresborough Christmas Market (2nd Dec).

We also discussed the EDF Energy fine: £1.3 million for espionage against Greenpeace plus nearly half a million for Greenpeace expenses. Shocking!

Stalls and costumes

Both stalls sold home made marmalade, bric-a-brac and gifts. 'Tigger' was also present collecting letters to David Cameron for the Common Fisheries Policy campaign initiated by Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall.

Saltaire raised £128 and the Market stall raised £251 'Tigger' and our 'Mrs Orang' made £49 so thanks to Paul and Karen for donning the costumes.

We also had a lively Christmas party at the December meeting on the 21st.

York Group

It sounds hopeful that there could be a revival of the York group next year. This would be really good for Paul who has been the sole voice in York for several years. So if there is anyone in the York area who is interested in joining a group please get in touch with Paul tel 01904 645145
