Update from the May meeting.

On the 29th April we had a stall at Knaresborough's Spring Fayre. The weather was terrible but we still managed to raise £76.00. A big thank you to all those who helped before and after the event-good team work. We can hopefully sell the remaining bric-a brac at all our various events in York through out the summer.

So please if you are having a de-clutter, remember Greenpeace and contact Sue on 01423 546684.

Next stall is on Saturday 26th May, at Hobmoor, York. Lots of Green stalls outdoors, so here's hoping the weather is going to be kind to us. Contact Paul on 01904 645145 - hopefully the new Arctic campaign materials will have arrived!

This summer the two main campaigns will be the Arctic and the Common Fisheries Policy. Our group will be helping with some of the public awareness events once the materials arrive. Sue will be contacting our M.E.P. about his viewpoint on C.F.P. in the light of the problems for small scale fishermen at Whitby.

On the 29th May Malcolm Carroll, our regional Network Manager, is coming to meet the York group. A group from Harrogate is hoping to attend.
