Last night we had our usual monthly meeting with a fuller than usual agenda. Some of the points are below for your perusal but two matters are worth highlighting.

Astonishingly Greenpeace has been gagged by Cairn Energy.  http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/blog/climate/breaking-cairn-injunction-twitter-gagging-20110719

Also I've passed my co-ordinator's hat on to Matt who will be looking after our network from now on. I will miss talking to you and all the rest of the activities but I need some time off to concentrate on some personal matters. I thank you all for your help and support and I hope that next year I'll be able to work with you again. As always being a co-ordinator of our network involves a lot of work and I would ask that, if you're not actively involved yet, you consider donating a little of your time to help Matt out with his chores. The more the merrier, many hands make the work light and all that .... We and the rest of the world need you if you care about it's future.

Remember: If you think you're too small to make a difference try and sleep in a room with a mosquito

Adidas and Nike are playing with toxic polluters in China. Watch the video and guess who will be the detox challenge champion http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/blog/toxics/nike-adidas-time-detox-worlds-water-20110713

Indonesian Forests are still being destroyed to wrap Barbie - Tell Mattel to change their habits. http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/blog/forests/call-mattel-about-barbies-deforestation-habit-20110704

There's a lot more going on and you can find all the latest news on http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/ as usual. Spread the word.

Keep well, strong and happy and keep up the good work.
