The Nottingham group had a welcome visitor this weekend.  Brian the stormtrooper who has escaped from the dark side and is on the run.  There wasn't a huge turn out for the film night - maybe due to the weather (it was very cold) which was a bit of a disappointment considering the amount of effort I put in to make it a good night.  Never mind, it looked like everyone enjoyed the evening and it did mean the odds of winning the raffle were reduced quite significantly.  We took photos of people posing with Brian and he was spotted dancing (as much as a storm trooper can dance in his uniform) to the Free Busketeers, who are rapidly becoming the Nottingham Greenpeace house band and I don't know how Freida Mai managed to keep a straight face with Brian looming behind her while she was singing.

It was even colder in Kimberley the next morning.  Brian joined us for a spot of street campaigning.  Unfortunately what we hadn't bargained on was the weather and the fact that folks in Kimberley don't get out of bed early on a Saturday even on a warm day so there weren't many people around but the people that did brave the cold were very interested in the campaign.  As it was so cold we cut the day short as Brian wasn't exactly dressed for cold weather, bless him, and we were concerned about him.  We had a lovely cup of tea to warm up afterwards at the community cafe and we all returned home.  Brian will next be seen in Southwell where it is usually much snowier than Nottingham.  Good luck Brian!
