It was a sunny and very windy day at Victoria Park in Sneinton and at one point there were more police than stall holders but people gradually arrived and stalls were erected - and some (the anarchists beer tent) blew down again! The march through town to Market Square was a battle against the wind and we had to hold tight to our Go Beyond Oil banner to stop it blowing away. Back at the park, we managed to get all of our Go Beyond Oil postcards signed - one was signed by a retired MP to his current MP and one was signed by a very pleasant policeman. Unusual because they generally say they won't sign anything while in uniform. Thanks to Andrea, Kirsty, Izzie and Cath who got her first postcards signed - well done Cath - getting your friends to sign gives you the confidence to approach strangers next time. Also thanks to Jeannie who decamped from the Green Party stall to ours to help get cards signed.
