What a difference a couple of months makes. Before the election the Lib Dems were talking about the cost of Trident being "up to £100 bn". Not all in one year of course. Now it's £20bn. Is that just in one year one wonders. Either way, what will be left to defend by the time we've paid for all of it? Not a lot. There's a lengthy debate going on in the Guardian at the moment.
Have you noticed that the press are now talking about the £20bn needed to replace Trident?
