Compo, Foggy, and Clegg wereon telly again the other night. Once more we were treated to a debate involvinga slightly shabby looking eccentric from Northern Britain, a pompous, patronising git full of his own selfimportance, and a slightly dull but sensible, well presented individual.

Was this another of theendless reruns of the alleged “comedy” about three retired Yorkshiremen?

No, it was the first of theleaders’ debates.

Despite the bluster and blufffrom Compo and Foggy, Clegg stuck to his lines about Trident being a dangerouswaste of money. Renewing it will not contribute to our security and willdirectly impact vital public services are funds are diverted to pay for ourunrealistic militaristic ambitions. Clegg made the point about Trident being aCold War solution to a modern problem.

Do you think he’s been reading our blogs folks?!
