I spend 2 days in the small kitchen of the Rainbow Warrior III cooking for 50 hungry volunteers last weekend.
It was an amazing (and exhausting) experience. Being in the kitchen was a privilege to meet many crew members and sharing their stories of life on board. I shared the kitchen with Walter the chef on board. He has been a chef for crews for 17 years and for the last 2 years for Greenpeace. He works 3 months followed by 3 months off where he goes back to his family in Goa. He told me that after 17 years he still get sea sick time to time....that really put me off of any sailing.
So far I think I manage NOT to poison anybody... so my cooking was successful!
Thanks for all the food Domi, it was delicious!
