In February with your help, we launched the new campaign to #SaveTheArctic with a classic Greenpeace action - the occupation of an Arctic bound Shell drill ship. Less than 3 weeks later 250,000 people have now signed up to support the campaign, and to tell Shell’s CEO to scrap their Arctic drill plans. Please ask your friends to sign up to the campaign - we need all the help we can get.
Clearly just sending emails to Shell will not be enough, although everyone who joins the campaign and emails Shell builds momentum. The campaign to #SaveTheArctic will be a long and difficult one, and to create the change we all want to see, all of us will need do more than we’ve done before.
To coincide with the launch of the campaign, Greenpeace active supporters visited Shell Petrol Stations all across the UK, talking to motorists, to the staff, taking pictures, recording videos of their experiences and blogging about why they were there. You can read some of those blogs here.
Now we’d like to invite you to do something similar. To visit your local Shell petrol station, to talk to the manager, to hand over a letter - and to send a very clear message up the management chain that you are willing to do more than send emails to stop their Arctic plans.
Please download a letter, FAQ and find your local Shell petrol station here. Please visit your local station, speak to the manager and then tell us how it went.

If you’ve never done more than send an email before, then now's your chance. We need your help, so please get involved. If you’ve been active for years then this is simply the first step. For now we really want Shell managers all over the UK to be very aware that the campaign to #SaveTheArctic is on.
Thank you for your help.
