Lib Dem candidate agrees to meet with Waltham Forest Greenpeace

Posted by DaveOC - 18 March 2010 at 1:53pm - Comments

Mr Farid Ahmed, the local Liberal Democrat candidate has already agreed to meet with the Waltham Forest Greenpeace group to discuss the results of our Trident street poll,  which takes place on Saturday 27 March.

Agreeing to the meeting, Mr Ahmed was keen to highlight Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg's previous assertion that "the case for such a powerful nuclear deterrent in the post cold-war world was a complete fiction".

Meeting requests have also been sent to the Labour and Conservative candidates.

For more information on the campaign and the poll on Saturday 27 March, please check out the 'campaign' section on this website.
