Taking Fish to Bristol

Presenting West Dorset fish to Ashley Fox MEP

Campaign stalls at Springtide Festival, Green Scythe Fair, Bridport Food Festival, Tolpuddle Martyr's Festival, Dorset Seafood Festival and Dorset 2012 Festival have all been leading to the day when we could present a fishing net of  1500 fish to Ashley Fox MEP. We joined Bristol and Bristol East groups at Ashley Fox's constituency office in Bristol.

It is the MEPs' job to thrash out the terms of the new Common Fisheries Policy to benefit the fisherman while maintaining fish stocks and the health of the oceans. So we need to keep the asks of the 'Be a Fisherman's Friend' campaign at the top of their busy agenda.

Although Ashley Fox 'does not often find himself agreeing with Greenpeace'  he chose to picture the handover on the front of his newsletter - so job done!

The next batch of 1000+ is being handed over at a meeting with Sir Graham Watson MEP on Friday 12th October.
