College, Community and Environment Event, Northbrook College

This was a very well organised event, with local groups such as Worthing Greenpeace, Worthing Transition Town, Brighton Naked Bike Ride, Climate Connections and Eco-Labs in attendance.

The event was open to both students and the public alike, and ran all day on Friday 15th October from 10am to 5pm, and consisted of stalls in the morning, showcasing the various groups' latest campaigns, and then the afternoon session was a series of talks in the lecture theatre, including an excellent talk and video from one of Greenpeace's Greenspeakers, John Kelly.

The event was well attended in the morning, with a few students signing up to hear more from the local Greenpeace group, and the current campaign www.gobeyondoil.org, but the numbers started to dwindle by the afternoon, which was a shame, because the talks were all very informative and interesting.

The event was advertised by Greenpeace in the local media and posters around the town, but unfortunately not by the college!

We hope the event will be bigger and better next year!
