The world MUST Turn Away From Fossil Fuels.

Professor Jim Hansen will next week propose a Global Carbon Emissions tax.

With the UK government determined to extract as much of the last remaining dregs of fossil fuels from off the Scottish coast and through Shale gas, with ever more worrying methods that has the potential to cause serious damage and danger not just to humans but to the environment, it is time for goverments to listen to the scientists that have been warning of the dangers and to act.

The carbon tax being proposed by Professor Hansen cuts through all political parties in order to ensure that future generations do not suffer the catastrophic climate change due to what we are doing today. It also ensures governments close to fossil fuel reliant energy companies, will not be able to change the proposals of the tax in order to keep their close relationships with energy companies.

There is no excuse for not doing more to end carbon emissions and move to renewable energy, the science is clear, the writing is on the wall and we must MOVE BEYOND OIL and fossil fuels NOW to help future generations of Planet Earth.
