For many of us it has been a long campaign, but finally John West has agreed not to use FADS and use only envirnmentally friendly methods of catching Tuna. This means freedom for such unique creatures as Hammer Head and other species of Shark, Turtles and many endangered fish that gather under FADS and are then scooped up in Purse Seine nets and killed as ''bycatch''.

To all of the active supporters from Yorkshiresouth Greenpeace and ALL of the active supporters from around the UK who spent many hours and a lot of energy on this campaign, i say thank you and very well done.

This is a VICTORY...but not just for us, but for ALL of the creatures that died needlessly as a result of this barbaric practice!!!

This victory came about purely and simply by all of the local networks coming together in a common goal, witnessing what was going on, being appalled by what they saw and being moved enough to say ''NO we will not stand by and let this happen''. This is just one campaign, there are more that require our attention, our dedication and most importantly our non violent ACTION.

As this victory proves, together we can make a difference and maybe try to make this beautiful natural world that is all around us a better place.
